Le Grande Buffet

My good friend Esther found this old dresser for cheaps and had the brilliant idea of turning it into a buffet table for her new dining room!  The process was super simple.  All we (Isaac) did was take the bottom two rows of drawers out, and then we (Isaac) removed all the hardware that was in the way of our up and coming shelves.  We then got some simple plywood from the hardware store for our shelves, and we (Isaac) cut them down to size.  Next, we (you know who actually did it) inlaid a divider, and then, after much twisting and turning, got our three shelves in!  Since Esther will be using it to house dishware of sorts, we opted for two smaller shelves on the left and one larger shelf on the right so she had the option of storing some taller items in there as well as cups and dishes.  It is almost finished -- it just needs a final coat of paint!  Here is our progress in pictures.

It is my personal belief that weekend renovation projects are good for the soul.  I will keep you posted on the final product!

What have you been working on lately?
